Visiblemente

This photo exhibition is part of the campaign titled Visiblimente, launched by the victims’ organisation Red de Mujeres Víctimas y Profesionales. The campaign sought to make visible the victims of sexual violence, their leadership, proposals and contributions to peace building. The photo exhibition also promoted the prevention of this crime and the right of victims to justice. Simultaneously, conversations about stigma and a better understanding of the causes of conflict-related sexual violence in local schools were promoted. It was led by victims who explicitly wanted to “show their faces” to illustrate that survivors of conflict-related sexual violence are not just statistics; they are real, diverse and resilient people.
