Tapestry Art – Transformative Memory

The project brought together survivors of conflict-related sexual violence from the Women’s Advocacy Network, engaging them in a collaborative effort to create a tapestry. Each woman contributed by making beads and sharing her personal experiences, which were then woven into the tapestry. This artistic process not only allowed them to tell their stories but also facilitated forgiveness and reconciliation among the participants. Through the creation of the tapestry, they found a way to heal and connect, transforming their pain into a shared work of art that embodies their resilience and unity.
