Global Network Members
SEMA survivors are organised into networks at both global and national levels. The Global Network brings together survivors from different generations, continents and cultures to come together and learn from each other, support one another, and collaboratively engage in high-profile awareness-raising and advocacy initiatives.
Through this Global Network, survivors build confidence and solidarity together, recognising that, despite their differences, they share common experiences and a bond. This collective approach enables them to see their personal experiences in the wider context of systematic sexual violence in conflict, and strengthens their resolve to mobilise, for change and challenge the structural causes of conflict-related sexual violence.
At the national level, we collaborate with existing survivor networks while also nurturing new and emerging networks. The National Survivor Networks contribute to the larger Global Network, with members from the global network playing vital roles in their respective national initiatives.
